America is lower middle of the pack on a good day. We are not at the bottom, but the view from here to the actual best countries is so far away you would need a telescope to see them.

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

Locals in my area that used to have huge Trump banners and signs out have now removed them and put out Yes on 50 yard signs, so at least some people are starting to notice we have a problem here!

Which is good for morale, but did it change anything? No. And I am saying this as someone who protests multiple times a week - it is good for raising awareness that there IS an issue, it does not fix the issue.

Before people can even consider it, there needs to be a clear ROI on the proposal. We want XYZ and can offer the following support XYZ.

Just look at No Kings rally- tons of people came out, but there was no clear goal, so nothing happened.

How will it be enforced, though? Speaking as a former Sister, priests can use a lot of pressure to all but force people into at least domestic labor for them, even if it is not technically their role. I am concerned nothing will change in their actions but the paperwork.
