My friend's son was hit by a car whilst cycling yesterday outside Swindon. He is seriously injured. The car sped off and the police are looking for witnesses, particularly those with dashcams.

Please do share the article below if you're local to that area:

Despite what you hear from fossil fuel-funded politicians, the U.K has just generated a record amount of clean, domestic wind energy.

Enough to power 23 million homes!

U.K decarbonisation policy is a recipe for energy security.

Never forget, if you design a city for cars, it fails for everyone, including drivers.

If you design a multi-modal city that makes walking, biking & public transit attractive options, it works better for everyone, including drivers.

INCLUDING DRIVERS.

The “war on cars” has always been a lie.

This is not advanced investigative journalism! It is looking at data rather than repeating whatever number Helen Whately has picked out the air today. It is asking questions to medical experts rather than repeating Lee Anderson’s theories on ADHD. Motability should be scrutinised. But with facts.

Over the last year, myths about the Motability scheme have spread online and in the right wing media. Now, some of it is government policy.

I've written a lot about the abandoned well crisis in this country. It's an environmental and climate disaster but also a financial disaster. This new article notes the financial reality about why nothing is done.

This sort of pandering to drivers can’t be helping congestion and bus reliability. I see loads of blatant double parking outside nearby takeaways.

Apparently the most police will do is move them on. Hopeless.

When you have a decent NETWORK of protected cycle infrastructure, people will use them. Just look at the Netherlands. A short protected one that gives up to paint ain't good as people won't want to cycle in the painted one. As the saying goes 'a good cycle infra is only as good as the weakest piece'
