Around our way the only blood test centre near a shopping centre has just been moved to a bus and a 15 minute walk away from the shops. #r4today

Oh yes, that would definitely put Webb off his breakfast!
suzannebrown.bsky.social
If only Gillian Tett had suggested tax rises of 10% for people on the salaries of #r4today presenters. It would have been fun to hear Justin Webb's response.

I'm so sick of hearing these whines about higher costs for employers. What they're really moaning about is people - particularly in the public sector - getting long overdue pay rises. As anyone should know, if poorer people have more money they spend it and it's good for the economy. #r4today

Let's hope the AI that does the "boring" bits of architectural design is being built by engineers and not architects. #r4today

Yes, I'm no maths expert but in no world apart from the Reform UK one can a 75% reduction be a 100% one. Maybe it's how they can claim huge savings in local government. Fantasy figures. #politicslive

Oh bad luck. He probably makes even less sense than the Reform woman.

Yes, it was potholes.
suzannebrown.bsky.social
Reform woman's exact words: "75%of complaints about damage to tyres has gone down to zero".

Anyone able to translate?

Anytime the Tories want to help the country out of the economic mess they claim Labour have put us in they could return the billions they stole from us in dodgy Covid contracts. #politicslive
suzannebrown.bsky.social
Ditto the Tories refusing to acknowledge anyone except Trump in the Israel Gaza negotiations as displayed by Chris Philp. Don't they know most UK people hate Trump? #politicslive
suzannebrown.bsky.social
Wonder if these Reform characters praising Trump is really going to go down well with voters apart from their core base. Hopefully not. #politicslive
suzannebrown.bsky.social
Any chance #r4today will go back to Jeremy Bowen to hear some proper journalism rather than this nonsense about Trump getting out of a plane?
suzannebrown.bsky.social
He also believes in democracy according to that guy (Scott Jenkins?). Not overly keen on it in the US though. #r4today

Seems Dorries' hero worshipping has switched from Boris Johnson to Trump. Both fat blond liars. Must be what she finds attractive. #bbclaurak
suzannebrown.bsky.social
Thought Bridget Phillipson handled #bbclaurak well. When she tried to interrupt Phillipson just carried on talking. Good plan.
suzannebrown.bsky.social
Nadine Dorries is now in Reform UK so of course she praises Trump to the hilt for his belated effort to resolve the Israel Gaza situation. It's what Farage, the Trump lap dog, wants her to say. #bbclaurak

Proper nut jobs of course. Putting "freedoms" above public health.

When you ask them if they were vulnerable in the next pandemic would they still be anti lockdowns you never get a response. #r4today

And how can you give the Nobel Peace Prize to someone who is undermining the law in his own country. #r4today

Yes according to Jenrick's logic. Living in London my neighbours include people from Brazil, Scotland, Spain and Nigeria so more of a very pretty patchwork quilt.

Has anyone told the Tories that young people can't afford to buy their own homes? Abolishing stamp duty will just benefit the wealthy and private landlords. #wato
suzannebrown.bsky.social
I assume all these Tories desperately concerned about integration will be moving to areas like Handsworth to help improve matters. #newsnight
suzannebrown.bsky.social
Husband thinks Jenrick's comments on Handsworth are his subtle attempt at a leadership bid. Badenoch can't make those comments with the same level of venom for obvious reasons. The racist Tory members will love it. #politicslive
suzannebrown.bsky.social
Why is more police time given to more expensive stolen bikes? #r4today
suzannebrown.bsky.social
If people can't be sent back to their country of origin wouldn't that suggest it would be unsafe to do so and therefore they should be granted asylum Badenoch? #r4today

If you want the govt to allow you - or anyone else you know who is vulnerable - a Covid jab, you can sign this petition.

The MILLIONS of people who were denied vaccines are suddenly realising.

@rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social this was a terrible idea.

Not only will the NHS struggle this autumn / winter, but people will suffer and die unnecessarily.

It isn't too late for a U-turn!
Community Pharmacy England

Q

Pharmacy teams have reported major issues to us over the last two days related to large numbers of patients booking COVID-19 vaccinations via the National Booking System (NBS) who are not eligible for the vaccine this winter.

We are working with NHS England to try to address this unacceptable situation and to get more NHS communications issued to help people understand whether they are eligible for the vaccine.

In the meantime, we have created three posters that pharmacy teams can use to help explain about vaccine eligibility this winter:
