I just saw that Canva bought Affinity and now they merged Vetor, Pixel e Layout, and its 100% free, I’m so excited to try!
My fear is that they’ll become a publicly traded company in a couple of years, meaning they will need “infinite growth” for investors, which means subscriptions, just like Adobe

Companies should be forced to give up the entire source code the moment they stop support the service, so at least the devs/hacker community can keep it alive.

Imagine a car stopping working because they decide to no longer support the software that runs it 🤦🏻

Started watching that limited series called “Wayward” with gf, and I looooove how one of the main characters is a trans man and the series is not focused on coming out etc, same with the Asian characters, they are not “outsiders”!
Also they are Canadian ❤️

Yeah, when my gf suggested Paradise I remembered the Justin Timberlake movie, but Paradise seems more grounded of how reality would be like if this tech actually was real, it’s a great sci-fi movie, I totally recommend it!

Just watched a German movie called Paradise, it’s about a capitalist dystopian society where you can sell years of your life for money, the way they show this as something very normalized in society is how I see it would happen irl

Also I love how China banned it, I can also see this happening lol
