It had originally been intended for theatrical, lost the release date to EVIL DEAD RISE, then got delayed for 2 or 3 years or something. Everyone was WB would dump it like COYOTE VS ACME and all that. But it hit HBO at least

The 3hr cut *should* be amazing, we ever get to see it, and I say that because the 2hr cut is fucking great – to capture the essence of this novel in that time (to really DO the book you need a full miniseries) and make it this creepy, cool, scary, and exciting?
