I think this is the part of working on a illustration I like the most: finding out the composition and just having fun without thinking too much. Just playing with the pencil and seeing where it takes you.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?

Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

A digital drawing of one of those drawing tutorials that says 'don't do this, do this.' The drawing is of an almost naked middle-aged man doing a flying kick. The 'Don't do this' one has a bunch of areas circled and a cross under it. The 'Do this' one is exactly the same but without the circles and a tick instead of a cross. The text reads 'Needlessly adding red circles will ruin your art' and a smaller bit of text at the bottom reads 'Bonus tip! Add a tick under all your art so people think you did it right.'

I made a scarier version of my MtG commander so he can intimidate my opponents
A cute little moth that is very scary and will definitely win many battles. Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls Legendary Creature - Elder Demon Flying Ward-Pay 2 life. Whenever an opponent loses life for the first time during each of their turns, put a +1/+1 counter on Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls and draw a card.

One of the best things to recognise in yourself as a creative person is when you are Sauceless.

Not art blocked. Not struggling with a difficult creative problem.

Being Sauceless is when you've done good work but have been staring at it for too long, and risk making it worse through noodling.

Deer will never stop being my hyperfixation animal they are just so animal
