Sitting in Kaldi's Coffee and "We are the World" comes on. All of the sudden, when Whitney Houston sings her part, four women sing along with her! It was so joyful and meaningful!

From the "this is gross and not something you see every day" files: C's toilet overflowed, and today the plumber pulled a DEAD RAT out. So creepy!!! And horrible!

I am writing a promotion letter today for someone who absolutely deserves it. It's exciting to see all of the person's accomplishments--but so hard to boil down into two pages!

One of the professors here at school--someone I admired and cherished--a poet, died of cancer this morning. He was one of my favorite people and someone who was like a beloved uncle. He walks with angels now.

Facilities just poured an algaecide in my air conditioner vents and the smell is so bad I had to open the window...letting in all the cold air. Waaah. :-D
