Marketing, writing, dog person, rosé is underrated. Midwestern. Fashion, politics, history, psychology, putting sand in the gears of patriarchy, etc.

And even more embarrassing because we don’t have half the money or population or size of either state. We’re just the sad, pathetic wannabe.
It’s so demoralizing to live in a state that, 100%, every single time, without question, chooses to do the worst thing in any given decision point.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net
(Also, they don’t want to go to otherwise excellent medical schools here any more, because they can’t get the training they need, super cool.)
Turns out med students don’t want to go into a specialty in a state that will legally punish them for providing appropriate care <shrug emoji>
In a completely predictable turn of events, states like Indiana are experiencing a catastrophic shortage of OBGYN providers.

If they thought the birth rate was dropping before, wait until prenatal care is hard for even middle class folks to access…

i’m just so mad because if we absolutely had to elect an unqualified media personality to be president we should have gone with either of the guys from CAR TALK

The problem of course is that women will vote for misogynists, but men won’t vote for women.
This site is now a feed of 50 people who are smarter and better informed than I am all confirming that the things I’m already worried about are not only justified, but also 10x worse than i thought.

Eek!
I’m going to DC in a month. A year ago, I toured the White House for the first time and it was so special. I feel sick to my stomach seeing it in rubble.
I’ve never felt more fatigued by the news. The White House bulldozing might have broken me.
Think piece: “Is this an inflection point?”

Well, they’re literally bulldozing the White House and most people couldn’t care less, so seems like we’ll be asking that question on the hike to the gulag.
Why, why, why does the camera in #GBBO always do a closeup of poor Prue shoveling a bite into her mouth. It’s almost invariable!
Here’s a fun “we don’t care about your mental well-being” thing FB does:

I have muted an old friend group that made me feel left out a lot. I get emails from FB every time one of them (and only them!) posts something new.

I TOLD YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW.
👏👏👏

If you’re a straight white man who is *incensed* about All The Things, great. What are you DOING about it? Especially offline?
I think it's kind of nasty and reductive to refer to mature women who marched today as "wine moms and grandmas," even when it's said in admiration or support
Yeah, the Castleton one is almost un-visitable. Debating if I want to even try the Geist one…
Niche Indy question: Is the Geist Ale Emporium impossible to get into on a Friday?
So glad you could do that! When I broke my ankle, crutches were just so incredibly scary. Who decided putting an injured person on chopsticks was a good idea?!?
It’s so discouraging how nothing truthful seems to break through. We’re throwing pebbles at 4in thick bulletproof glass.

How does it change?
BREAM: Open enrollments starts in November. People are already getting notices about what they may pay. I mean, that's gotta be resolved.

MIKE JOHNSON: Yes, and they're eating up the clock in the month of October

(Johnson canceled the House in August to avoid taking votes on Epstein)
Weird math I just did for no reason:

The year I was born (1980) is closer to WWII than it is to today.

And now I feel old!

a high armhole allows for freer and more comfortable movement
Is it because they fall from the tree and “conk” you on the head, potentially?

(Also learning that *I* may have “conker brown” hair… This is a big day.)
Got my flu shot! Say boo to the flu and get yours before Halloween!
“Conkers”?! Never heard them called that before! In my Midwest (U.S.) area we call them “buckeyes.”
