Excellent--with U.S.A. oligarchs' apparent resumption of expansionist-imperialist-racist neocolonial ambitions, The Soundtrack for a Coup d'Etat resonates all too well, including ongoing exploitation of peoples and resources that I rely upon, I expect, with each iPhone selfie. boxd.it/8Yt3xp

On this day in 1962, Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta founded the organization that would become the United Farm Workers. We’re proud to partner with @ufw.bsky.social in fighting back against the Trump administration's illegal, racially motivated immigration.

¡Si se puede!
Quote by United Farm Workers President Teresa Romero: "We will continue to fight together for the civil rights of every farm worker and every immigrant community. This agency and this administration will not keep terrorizing our union members, our coworkers or our neighbors unchecked. Not on our watch.” Along with a photo of a farm worker carrying a large bin of produce in a field.

Let that sink in

"Despite its extreme population density, Gaza was mostly self-sufficient in vegetables and poultry, and met much of the population’s demand for olives, fruit and milk. But last month the UN reported that just 1.5% of its agricultural land now remains both accessible and undamaged."

Nearly every indie press at Printed Matter’s NY Art Book Fair echoes the subversive histories of printmaking and radical publishing. To browse here is to cross borders of geography, identity, and form.

Do you know what the NYTimes said after Malcolm was assassinated...

"The world he saw through those horn-rimmed glasses of his was distorted and dark. But he made it darker still with his exaltation of fanaticism. Yesterday someone came out of that darkness that he spawned, and killed him."

A friend of mine was on Charlie Kirk's "watch list" of Black professors. She received so many death and rape threats that her university offered her a security detail for the walk to class.

This is Kirk's legacy.

You would never know it from reading all of these legacy newspaper op-eds about him.

Wrote to the alumni association to ask about the virtue of courage, which is important to me as the granddaughter of someone who stood up to HUAC, and as a UCB alum. I hope other alumni will contact the university to let them know how disappointing their cowardice is, how unexpected, & unacceptable.
