Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is definitely doing something right on the CPU side of things. Running through the game's largest city - Kuttenberg - sees a flat 60 fps vsynced line on the Ryzen 5 3600.
This is an incredible contrast in performance to games with similar levels of NPCs and density.

Cryengine in KCD2 is a breath of fresh air after countless interchangeable UE5 games. It runs and looks great

So here is the consumption of my Volvo EX30 since I bought it 7 months ago. Data is a bit broken due to the bug where consumption is above 30kWh/100km will not log, but it's shouldn't skew average too much

so since nvidia shit the bed with this "swap new dlss transformer model into any old game easy via nvidia app" (there is actually only small amount of whitelisted games)

there is still a way to force new DLSS into any game, but there are crutches, as usual

True for many industries, but especially for gamedev.
99% of the job is good enough, but it's the last 1% that makes it something better than just "good".

DLSS is that 1% better over FSR/PSSR/etc

Your game runs at 60 fps average? Good, but what about 1% low fps? How consistent are your frametimes?

Just watched the whole Half Life 2 documentary and now I'm eager to play Alyx. The thing is, I really don't want to buy a VR headset just for 1 game though

Check out our new game btw

I'm not working on it though but played before and it's quite fun to play with friends

12 hours in, love this game

clunky, sometimes broken - just as expected. I would even be disappointed if there were no authentic broken stalker experience. The only downside for me yet is UE5. They definitely lost some uniqueness by using you-know-what-to-expect engine

Visiting Alsace in France right now and it's an absolutely incredible place. Would love to return in the summer for better weather and less grey pictures though!
