I really appreciate that @pbsnews.org ended the interview with this graphic.

It captures, in the simplest and starkest terms, the brutal arithmetic driving this country's homelessness catastrophe.

Sad stuff.

Yes. Even better. The more Mamdani hires these folks and annoys the establishment I love it!

You know #Winnipeg is slowly changing when cycling related activists/community groups are named top activist/group for two years in a row and a local pro wrestling company is named local top theatre act/company in The Uniter Top 30.

Looking at Instagram and the #Montreal mayor is looking to rip up bike lanes. by looking at the responses #Montreal has plenty of Car brains there that don't care about safe streets. Responses include "no one cycles in the winter". Ok

Now this is the stuff that would make communities like the West End, North End and Elmwood thrive if we had a #Winnipeg mayor like this guy. But the Gills is not a mayor for the people.
Soon small businesses won’t have to wait for Small Business Saturday to get attention from their Mayor.

Some changes that they can look forward to:

Failure from our “leaders” — none of these things Lukes suggests are happening would have saved Rosalie, because of her and Mayor Gillingham’s hardline stance against implementing them on routes and neighbourhoods we’ve sacrificed to suburban drivers, like Osborne.

Dont think the #NHLJets are going to make the playoffs. Going to be very difficult. IF you are not at the playoff line by American Thanksgiving your chances are slim, according to statistics. Its not impossible, but it would be hard.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. This is what #Climateaction and #Climatejustice should look like.
The climate crisis won’t wait and neither will we. With this team, we’ll meet it head-on.

I heard about this. Its kind of not surprising. Kind of the #MGTOW movement. www.cbc.ca/listen/live-...

Wab blew his own candle out today.
I don’t think he’s going to shine again.

Embarrassing on both sides. Grow up Obby and Wab. Stop acting like children.

Yea. OK. Never take advice from CPO's or any corporate executive. All they care is their bank accounts.

While work-life balance may give you a sense of happiness and fulfillment, it isn’t always realistic, says Walmart executive vice president and chief people officer Donna Morris.
Walmart exec: ‘I’ve never believed in the term work-life balance’—this is the mantra that made her highly successful instead
Many professionals see work-life balance as a non-negotiable. Walmart CPO Donna Morris says people should practice work-life integration instead. Here's why.

So let me get this straight, CEO's "work" 55 hours a week. Ok sure.
I remember this Wall Street Journal graphic claiming that CEOs work 55 hour weeks, and maybe only 6 hours of it outside of meetings would be unambiguously considered work if they were in an entry level position.

A good actor/storyteller with a world class PR team and a lot of support from lobbyists. His views are shaped by popular public opinion and polling more than any consistent set of principles. If he did have those, he would be anti-pipeline based on his previous Indigenous activism, for example.

Also lets keep it going #Winnipeg. We have a petition going to support the reinstatement for the 50 50 transit funding. For more information go to @5050transitwpg.bsky.social. Yes we Can. #Winnipeg #WinnipegTransit #ClimateAction
Its important the MB NDP does this to regain their base, and not further go to the right as its already done. We also have a petition up. Support it by going to @5050transitwpg.bsky.social for more information. #Winnipeg #PublicTransportation #WinnipegTransit #ClimateAction
Tomorrow we have another great episode of @nntaonumfm.bsky.social where we discuss about the need to bring back 50/50 #PublicTransit funding betwen the province and the municipalities. Show starts at 11:30 am on 101.5 UMFM. #Winnipeg #WinnipegTransit #PublicTransportation #MBNDP

Tomorrow's episode of @nntaonumfm.bsky.social should be a good one, discussing the need to bring back the 50/50 transit funding by the province of Manitoba. If the MB wants to end their rightward shift, this would be a good place to do it. #WinnipegTransit #publictransportation
