Fantastic offer for someone here. If you're local to Mill Hill why not do @oldenoughtosay.com and yourself a favour?
I don’t suppose anyone in or able to get to Brent Cross area wants to spend a day this month helping me move a couple metric tonnes of potted plants out of my mother in laws garden? I can offer payment in form of any of the plants or planters that you wish to keep. Too heavy for one person to move

The first time I saw the Google AI logo thingy (with the little star in the corner of the magnifying glass) I just glanced at it as I entered my search. As a result it looked like a little sickle with maybe the head of a hammer.

On Bregman, I was there in the audience and I can’t see what the BBC have gained by removing this line except more bad publicity. I will say that no such edits or censorship occurred when I gave the Reith Lectures and free-speech defenders might want think about whether this is the world they want.

🚨It's time there was investigation into Russian interference in our politics.

And the first person they should question is Nigel Farage.

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

This Reform statement seems unaware that he had acknowledged some of these allegations back in 2013.

Of course I said some ridiculous things that upset them.” Crick asked him if these were “racist things”. Farage replied: “Not necessarily racist things. It depends how you define it.”

Of course not. Because TACO.
For the 1000th time, how to deal with Trump: Show strength. Shape events. Make him react to your move rather than jumping like a scared rabbit whenever he says something nuts.
Europe’s consistent failure to do so only encourages more American madness.

"NEW: 93 murders in London (pop: ~9m) in 12 months to October.

The city's murder rate is now lowest for decades; perhaps centuries.

But if you listened to what Reform and the Conservatives were saying, you’d think it was at an all-time high"

I came to this country as a child refugee. No English, no certainty, no idea what my life could become. Britain gave me refuge.

Not on a timer, not with conditions attached, but with a chance to grow roots.

Shabana Mahmood is expected to say the era of permanent protection for refugees is over, in major changes to the UK's asylum and immigration system.

Famously the lyrics of every punk rock song extolled how lovely everything was.

Little known fact: Anna Key was an Australian girl Glen Matlock fancied who had moved to west London and it was only a printing error that caused the song to go out as Anarchy in the UK.
Ah the 1970s.

Stagflation, three day weeks, collapsing infrastructure. Civil War in Northern Ireland. In yer face racism and bigotry everywhere. Bin strikes. Strikes in general. Blackouts. Industrial decline. Wage inequality. Dog crap everywhere. And households spent 25% of their income on food.

In 1996 I did a little in internship at BBC Westminster. At the time, Robbie Gibb was one of the producers there. Even in that period, he was self evidently a pro-Tory apparatchik, who made no attempt to hide his agenda from his colleagues or even from the little work experience kid.
