Disaster transbian, githyanki simp, cursed by the Azure Bonds, and a professional unicorn wrangler.
Just finished The Wyvern’s Spur. It was fun! Kind of like a D&D bottle episode in that it was limited in locations—mostly Giogi’s townhouse, Redstone Keep, the Wyvernspur Crypt and the House of the Lady right up until the big set-piece battle at the end.

i am going completely insane watching gamers make up shit about horses and interrogating every single thing the devs have said for inconsistencies and then deciding well it probably had cp in it. this is the easy mode version of the kinds of censorship that are to come and you're failing like babies

I have come to the idea that we have to collectively, brutally, ritualistically kill Target just to show capital that we truly aren’t fucking around.

I am not quite done with it yet, but The Wyvern’s Spur by Kate Novak and Jeff Grubb is an absolutely crackpot D&D novel and I love it. It’s rather different from Azure Bonds, but Giogi Wyvernspur is fantastic.

You ever watch a review for an RPG where it feels like not only has the reviewer—in spite of their claims to the contrary—never played not only the RPG they are reviewing, but quite possibly RPGs in general?

Because there's been some talk about not having enough content creators in the #Pathfinder2e space on Youtube I'd like to raise my hand and submit for your viewing my video on basic encounter design for the system.

Not begging for views but the numbers encourage more of it.

Every time I hear news about Winds of Winter I can’t help but think, why do people still care about this?

My boss is at the shop today for a few hours—not to be open to business but just as a place people can go play games if they need someplace to be for Thanksgiving. She messaged me saying she's getting so many calls asking if we're open for business and wanted me to check Google about our hours.

Squaring off against a misguided priest doing terrible things in a point-and-click adventure game when my character says she'll stop him, and he very simply, very humbly, from behind bars, says "You can try, but I have God on my side."

Chills.

Content specifically for Lenny is a largely underserved market, but I am glad to see @anna-belle.bsky.social innovating in that space. Y’all should follow her.

"Do you guys sell cases of Pokémon cards?"

HA! HA HA HA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

And these people always look like Hollywood's worst stereotype of a drug dealer.

Looking over Eberron: Forge of the Artificer and one thing that has always irked me about the Dragonmark Houses is their naming conventions.

Breven d’Deneith, Yoren d’Ghallanda, Ulara d’Jorasco… what the hell is my mouth supposed to do with that d’? (😏)

I’ve been playing D&D for 30 years and only just now, just this moment, did I realize the “minute” in Melf’s Minute Meteors is referring to their SIZE and is thus pronounced my-NOOT. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Metagaming is great and leads to more satisfying play in many contexts and what people actually hate is what Blades in the Dark calls "being a weasel"

Seeing a number of videos saying how D&D really needs to be played weekly and… yeah I’m kind of in agreement.

You might be able to get away with biweekly 8-hour sessions but otherwise I feel you really need that kind of commitment if you’re all serious about the game.

Me a few years ago: Y'know, they should release shows slowly again instead of dropping a binge. It doesn't give people room to breathe and discuss.

TV: *Starts releasing weekly episodes again*

Me: *Checks discussions*

Me: Y'know... maybe releasing all the eps at once is good, actually...

My main thought on Pluribus is that I am far more interested in the journeys of Carol and the world than I am in Carol "solving the problem".

If she just "solves the problem" then the show is garbage. Personally I have more faith in it than that.

It's increasingly clear to me that a staggeringly high number of people simply view TV shows as plot delivery devices and have no thoughts on artistry.
