Everyone now agrees we are heading for a global financial crash. It's only a matter of when, and not if. And the sad thing is, if only we'd reformed our tax reliefs on pensions and ISAs we might have avoided this disaster that's now in the making. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/10...
We could have avoided a crash
This came from an email from The Economist yesterday: Today Gita Gopinath, a former chief economist of the IMF, sounds a warning. In a guest essay for The Economist she argues that America’s bull mark...

Rachel Reeves should consider welfare cuts in budget, says right-wing IFS.

They want the govt to hurt the poor, old, sick, disabled; curtail redistribution which enables millions to survive.

Silence on corporate welfare, ending profiteering, tax abuse by corporations/rich.

It is class war.

It's no longer a joke.

Any Scot wanting this English Nationalist to be Prime Minister isn't that good at Critical Thinking.

You can't hate Scotland that much!

Only a fool now doesn't want Scottish Independence.

Rosebank's back, after being ruled unlawful in January.

If it goes ahead the oil field will release 250 million tonnes of climate emissions.

For the government to allow this would be climate vandalism, doing untold damage to our environment and tying us even further to unstable fossil fuel prices.
The Independent. UK Government urged to 'do the right thing' and reject Rosebank development. Equinor, which owns the majority of the oil field, stresed it was committed to advancing the Rosebank project.'

Excuse me but, what the f*** is the point of targets to build homes that only the wealthy can afford? How does it help anyone who is not a property developer? And why does Labour care more about property developers than families? liveapp.inews.co.uk/category/398...
Leaked memo reveals Labour plan to slash affordable homes target

McSweeney was company secretary of Labour Together while he was running Starmer’s Labour leader bid.

During this period, Labour Together was breaking the law by failing to report donations; it also secretly backed Starmer.

So, do we have an illegally-elected PM?

There are some interesting findings here, but also a very common mistake when looking at attitudes. They ask about the NHS, Economy etc - and Independence - as though they're mutually independent topics. But Indy benefits all the others - its not some separate topic.

What’s the harm of trying? youtu.be/aCpbDQ-hIpw?...

In this off-the-cuff, spur-of-the-moment video, I ask a simple question: What’s the harm of trying something different? Why not invest? Why not tax wealth? Why not admit that government spending creates money?
What’s the harm of trying? When everything’s failing, why not change course?

The UK government must STOP Rosebank, and instead focus on creating jobs in North Sea renewables!
