The lines/oil tubes were fine, brake handle replaced, oiled refilled, adjusted to good brake pressue, brake pads replaced. Costs at the store 150-200€, I did it for 40€ parts(including oil) and 2 hours work (1st time) and it is working perfectly again. 😬 I should be a bike mechanic 😅

Made my own bike winter ready, son had his bike checkup 3 months ago at the store, but i personally did not like his break system as for my feeling not working properly. And of course both handles broke down last week.
Bought 2 new handles, of course hydrolic break system, completely replaced.

Weird feeling being back after 7 years for a full late shift, but also good to see a almost complete new team with a few very good people working together doing all the logistics works. Gave the future teamleader (starts 1-1-2026) already some good tips for changes, if he uses them that's up to him.

Doing a late shift today on a logistics location I started up 7 years ago, not a lot has changed but trough my eyes as teamleader with my personal growth over the past 7 years it is also not perfect 😉 Not that it is bad but it needs some polishing, to get a perfect score again.

Needed to change my bike tires, grip completely gone and tears in my tire so time for a change front and back, also did inner tubes, and oiled and checked the entire bike making it winterproof/ready. Was out of bed at 5:00 in the morning due to work, on my day off 🫣

Also that manager with protest is a great manager really looking for "is it needed or is it luxuries" so always good to have a person like that on the other side, downside: if you hire a student for 15 or 24 hours a week he thinks they are available 24/7, while it is the complete opposite 😉

Budget meeting with 2 managers: 1 goes "ahh perfectly explained" and gives approval, other trying to find all ways to cut the budget 🤐 been a long 3 hours😶 but approved (1 without issue, other under slight protest but oke) 🫣 Now in the train to visit my stations with a slight de-tour.
