I found out today that this cat I caught on my porch cam a few times last winter belongs to my neighbors across the street. They didn’t know he took a few naps on my porch furniture last winter. I suspected he belonged to someone nearby 😂

These are not emergency vehicles covered by Scott’s Law (Illinois Vehicle Code. 625 ILCS 5/11- 907(c)). And even if they were, these are not Illinois peace officers authorized to enforce that law. And even if they were, it’s a $250 traffic infraction, not a jailable offense. IOW, they can fuck off.

Jorge Ruiz’s blood alcohol level was far below the legal threshold for intoxication.

When his lawyers looked at similar car crash cases, they found that although Ruiz had the lowest amount of alcohol in his system, his sentence was by far the longest.

My host mom explaining how to use the bidet when I couldn’t speak Spanish and she couldn’t speak English was an awkward and memorable game of charades 😂 I got used to it over time though. Felt kinda gross not having a bidet when I moved back to the US.
