Fantastic Rings of Power panel at Magic Con 8 (28.9.2025). A highlight, really. Robert Strange as the third guest was a delight as well. Just three very good-humoured, relaxed people on stage who were up for any high jinks.

Fiennes… I tell you, with Wuthering Heights and The English Patient he has messed with my adolescent head which led to the romantic idealisation of these kind of guys who are insufferable to be with in real life.
I’ve forgiven him and myself though since. 😌

I’ll wait and see on Wuthering Heights. Maybe it’s fun. I grew up with the Fiennes and Binoche version of and loved it, and it isn’t perfect either.
I’ve got a soft spot for Margot’s intelligence and drive.
I think my favourite take on WH to date might actually be Emily.

I willed myself through six episodes of Requiem (2018) and what can I say … Sam Hazeldine plays a grieving father with a 💛 who gets massively beaten down by life and loses everything - family, reputation, mind, regular access to a shower … oh, and he’s criminally underused!

Sad Sam Hazeldine is a mood. But ‘Learning to Breathe’ is some extra dimensions of messed. The pay can’t have be been high enough to justify wrecking yourself and your relationship so your director could have his closure on something… and then that didn’t even happen because he burnt out on the way.
