@heyfranhey.bsky.social, have you heard of the graphic novel "New Kid" by Jerry Craft? I just started it, and I wondered how much of Jordan's story was similar to yours. It's starting off really light, but I'm sure it will get a little heavier. The microaggressions! I'm loving it, though.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't need to justify your reading preferences and choices to anyone. Audiobooks count as reading. Also, you don't have to finish books you don't enjoy. Don't read to impress, read for yourself. Life's too short, love yourself, ok?
