"Here we believe in standing up for those we love, whether you are an immigrant, a member of the trans community, one of the many black women Trump has fired, a single mom waiting for the cost of groceries to go down, or anyone else with your back against the wall. Your struggle is ours too."

THIS.

I've been saying this for many, many months.

This is a time for a new kind of politics.
We don't live in an Old World Two-Party system anymore.
"Reaching across the aisle" doesn't work so well.

It's fascism vs. democracy.
And you don't compromise with fascists.
I sincerely hope Democrats pay attention to tonight’s results across the country. They won’t learn anything but still. Maybe. People are excited by change and original campaigns and bold ideas and candidates under the age of 50!
Everyone hope for a hold and a flip — the question is which one is which! 😆

This is such great news for voting rights and the fights against authoritarianism.
This is a good sign for Democrats tonight!!!
This guy should do standup!

Obama taking the piss outta those who peddle hate, rather than taking the bait & piling onto the folks scapegoated. This is the long proven way to deal with the standard authoritarian narrative. Hoping when Spanberger wins, story will include this approach.
Obama: They never miss a chance to scapegoat minorities and D.E.I. For every problem under the sun. You got a flat tire? D.E.I.. Wife mad at you? D.E.I..

Chuck Schumer has refused to endorse Zohran Mamdani, and now refuses to even say he’ll vote for him as Mayor. Just a breathtaking new level of cowardice.

Won’t someone please primary this spineless failure of a leader?

This moment requires all of us to stand up for our neighbors.

Sorry Kristi Noem - Minnesotans support our immigrant communities. You can’t divide us. We won’t abandon one another.

He may be demolishing one of the most iconic structures in American history…

But on the bright side, the billionaires he gave massive tax cuts to will have a nice ballroom to dance in.

You’re not invited, though. 🫤

And your healthcare premiums are going to skyrocket. 🤷‍♂️

Amen. The purpose of politics is to enact an agenda, not simply to get elected for the sake of doing so.
If you keep lowering your standards to “win” against the other side, eventually you’ll just be on the other side
