Most police in England and Wales don’t carry guns.

They don’t need to.

Only about 5 percent of police carry guns and are held to strict recruitment and accountability as authorised firearms officers.

In London only about 2500 Met officers are AFOs.

Trump has no legal authority, "standing" or otherwise, to order the killing of people in international waters for unsubstantiated accusations of non-capital crimes.

Calling them "narcoterrorists" does not make it right or legal to order their deaths without any due process.

Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War, ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility — just off the Coast of Venezuela. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route. We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

The USS New Jersey was reactivated in the 1960s for the war in Vietnam, then again in the 1980s before being permanently deactivated in the early 1990s.

The USS Iowa and USS Wisconsin were also reactivated in the 1980s for a decade. A turret explosion on the Iowa in 1989 killed nearly 50 sailors.

When Disney secured the Indiana Jones Adventure ride license from Lucasfilm, they didn’t have permission to use Harrison Ford’s likeness for the poster art. Drew Struzan called Harrison Ford and directly asked him. Ford permitted Struzan because he inherently trusted him.
