(Like ads, getting a location for a launch party, getting the keys to our house ON launch day instead of two weeks before, blablabla)

I got lucky because I have a super supportive partner who basically told me to try to go for doing the writing full time, but not everyone has that option.

It's nice that you're able to take more time for writing - even if the reason for it sucks

That makes sense. From what I've heard a lot of romance authors tend to burn out after a few years because they're facing basically a consistent stream of next to impossible deadlines. (I think cozy mystery authors are facing the same issues as well)

Much like yourself I've always tried to publish one novel per year.

During times when things were really busy with work, I only managed one every two years, but then AI stole my job so now I have more time 🤷‍♀️

I *love* the creative struggle.
