Managed to finally get hold of a personal unicorn machine! Been after one for a very long time! This is my Indata DAI. An incredibly rare beast from 1980. A monster spec that was reflected in the cost at the time. Lovely. ZX80 for scale 😁 (didn't have a banana)

It's just two months to go to the Retro Computer Computer Festival! Expect to see micros and consoles from the 70s, 80s and 90s running the very best of vintage and modern games. Tickets are selling fast, so grab yours here - www.computinghistory.org.uk/det/74558/re...
A fix or rather an upgrade to USB-C power for the #TheC64... I've been struggling with reliability unit due to the flakey Micro USB socket. This mod which fits a USB-C power port to a 'The #C64' fixing the power issues and allowing the use of #RaspberryPi 4/5 PSU.

Genius.

The Atari 2600 was of course famous for having a fantastic version of Pac-Man.
Yellow console alert 💛
Well it worked today.... probably wont work tomorrow once in #miltonkeynes! Looking forward to attending @tnmoc for the #Acorn #Econet #LAN party event! www.tnmoc.org/events/econe... #RISC_OS #DOSBOX #Glider
A huge thank you to Andy Marks of @RISCOSbits for kindly donating a custom #RISC_OS 5 ROM image allowing my #Acorn RISCPC to use #NVMe SSD natively - meaning the machine now runs entirely solid state. This build should be at @tnmoc next month & @computermuseum in November!

Due to family circumstances (nothing serious :-) Im away this weekend so they wont be a live 'Eight till Late' stream tonight. Sorry about that..... Should be back next Saturday from 20:00 BST (19:00 GMT)
Correction * It was / is 14230KHz
Also been doing some #SSTV #Shortwave #DX ing ... for the very first time, using a low end receiver & #Raspberrypi 400 to decode the signals... basically over the air amateur #HAMradio tv stations. All on the 20meter band around 14320KHz
A very productive #Easter! ... With thanks to Brain Martin of Night Owl #BBS my #8bit #BBCMicro went online over the weekend with some classic BBSing from Night Owl & #Telstar
Whats this? Could I be playing with a #RISC_OS build again? ... Maybe? ... This runs #ARM native & without need for slow SD card! Interesting few days recording new content coming soon!
After needing a week off last week due to having a cold (im better now). I'm pleased to say Eight til Late is back live tonight (Saturday 5th April 2025) from 20:00 GMT+1.

Please be aware we're now in British Summer Time, hence an hour earlier start time 19:00 GMT

Engineer's log, 4th #MARCHintosh 2025.
The absolutely very first working Macintosh was assembled on a protoboard using wire-wrap. Andy Herzfeld still has this on a shelf at home.
