Based on my toddler, he's pooping
Omfg I am not okay at the Current's teaser post because we either signed Bia or Lo to a three year deal and that almost certainly means we won't sign the other (or Hailie Mace, but I mostly made my peace with that earlier this summer) 😭
Start on the stove in a dutch oven, simmer in the oven is The Way
Talking about kids in Gaza like they're humans who deserve food and safety
Yeah, we do, but we can't really do fuck-all about it other than scream into the void
Most Americans do not have paid parental leave, 6 weeks is the protected unpaid leave and unfortunately as a result way too many parents here have to put their 6 week olds in full time childcare
Huh, I did not know Gildan bought them
If anyone has a protocol for that, it's Michigan
But Miiiiiiiike, I'm washed and my contract is about to expire

IF YOU HAVE A POLICY PROBLEM, BRING IT UP WITH YOUR PLAYER REP, OR THE NWSLPA, OR THE LEAGUE OFFICE, OR EVEN YOUR OWNERSHIP SO YOU DON’T HURT PEOPLE.

YOU DON’T WHINE TO THE NEW YORK POST AND FOX AND FRIENDS UNLESS YOU ARE A GRIFTING GRIFTER.
Although the "one of the good ones" fallacy is infuriatingly alive and well and there could still be someone who thinks this gross shit and just thinks HER teammate is the exception 🥴
Name them so we can shame them, Liz
This administration is so sloppy that discovery might actually get defeated?!?! @shutdownfullcast.bsky.social
Just left the latest hearing in Jim Comey's criminal case. It did not go well for DOJ

The magistrate judge scolded them for an "indict first, investigate second" posture and ordered them to turn over reams of material — including all grand jury info — to Comey's team

Actually bullying racists and transphobes sets a great example
"Reasonable people can disagree on this topic, but there’s no need to go to bullying or name calling because it doesn’t set a good example for anyone," Elizabeth Eddy says on Fox News this morning, after a week of inciting targeted transphobic and racist attacks on fellow NWSL players.
I wanted her to hit him with the trick candles SO BAD
And Banda can't even play, which seems even more unfair somehow

a lot of people are quoting this and saying things like “standing up for trans rights is a winning political strategy” and while I agree with this, win or lose standing up for trans rights is important - no, vital - because it’s the right thing to do.

A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.

A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

once again we sr in actual elections that being anti-trans is not actually an election winner, and being pro-trans doesn't actually cost you elections. defending trans people may not necessarily win you elections, but it won't lose them either and it's the right thing to do

Wildly disappointing considering Temwa Chawinga has also received racial and transphobic abuse. It would be nice for all teams to be proactive about backing and protecting all players instead of waiting for something else to happen.
In keeping with this theme, I reached out to KC Current to see if they would be commenting on the issues below. They will not be issuing a separate statement outside of the one already issued by the league earlier today.
I have reached out to the Washington Spirit comms for comment on the recent comments from Elizabeth Eddy and Jennifer Sey.

Don’t know that i will hear back today but will keep you all posted if and when i do get a comment from them.
Yes he is 19 months, yes I will start going by half years once he turns 2 (likely I'll start using "almost 2" a couple months before that), do not @ me
My county offers three designs of "future voter" stickers and I have taken my 19 month old with me to vote enough times that he's had all of them at least once

One would think if someone was a recent catholic convert and the pope called then on their shit personally they'd freak out, but these types of catholic converts begin day 1 being pope of their own schism
