If you're going to use a slur against women (pussy, bitch, etc) in a post i otherwise agree with, I'm gonna unheart that like. & consider the block.
Why can't people make a valid point without demeaning women?
Even on the left?
& we wonder how so many people can still vote for misogyny?

#nzpol Data from Stats NZ today demonstrates how far we have fallen in the labour market. Between June 2019 and June 2023, we put on 225,000 new jobs. Since then, we have lost 31,216 jobs. A filled job is lost every 34 minutes. A thread

This guy makes skits but they’re based on real things that are happening.
That little fact about the plague that Arizonan died of is sending me into spirals. People said it’s no biggie about that plague death, but I’m not so sure. A 100% mortality rate is bad, no?

Literally anyone is vulnerable to Covid
This is my most confrontational post of the day: please watch Armond’s video & think on it.

It isn’t at all progressive or leftist to spread disabling disease in an ongoing pandemic. There are more Armonds than you know, & folks who don’t mask are making more each day bc most spread is asymptomatic

Look at the other provisions too. Councils again the bogey. What about localism?

I want my Council to support libraries, parks and cultural and heritage activities as well.

Of course, the inconsistency is that stormy Daniels didn't report $300
Does anyone think Trump carries cash around? Trump *never* pays for anything unless he absolutely has to. It's super weird behavior and *very specific*. Where did Trump form the habit that after sex with new woman you put $300 on bedside table?

There's a detail that bugs me about the whole #Epstein #Trump thing. A consistent thread across interviews with Epstein victims, after sex $300 would be put on beside table. Karen McDougal was really perplexed and upset that after 1st sex Trump put $300 on bedside table. Questions follow

it's not an argument if it's just ad hominem attacks (X). there's plenty of debate on bluesky. not debating people who refuse the rules of debate isn't an echo chamber. it's civility

Well, as I blogged over a year ago now, it's been a case of "reprehensible racism, planet-destroying arrogance and science-denialism cosplaying as Government: “That’s New Zealand today, your leaders tonight…”...'

Nothing, *nothing at all*, has improved since, it just keeps getting *worse*.
“The current Govthas taken this to a whole new level. Last year, when confronted with some evidence on the efficacy of bootcamps the PM responded: “I don’t care what you say about whether it does or doesn’t work.” A dishonourable position about knowledge; a genuine refusal to acquire it.” #NZpol
Govt continues its blunt refusal to acquire knowledge
Opinion: Increasingly knowledge is replaced with one politician’s intuition or a coalition agreement based on three politicians’ intuition, writes Rob Campbell

This also denies the patients and their families the opportunity to support each other. The family support of patients does a huge amount of physical as well as emotional care. I'd love to see a study of how well patients do with familial support as without.

Just heard a sound bite of Nicky No-boats saying council's don't spend money the way I would spend my money. Well Nicky, I wouldn't order a new SUV and new garage, then cancel the order costing me $80,000 in cancel fees, then buy a Nissan Micra and house it in a tent from Bunnings #nzpol

Industry decarbonisation binned

Looking at easing ag emissions targets

Collapsed ETS

Climate scientists belittled

Comedy NDC

FTAs breached

No adaptation $

But yeah, you can trust us on climate.

In addition to the sheer insanity of reducing capacity in an already super busy maternity unit (can we PLEASE listen to the midwives and OBs?) we need to ask why it’s always women whose needs are considered secondary? 😡
