honestly hilarious that it took until chapter 20 out of 29 for this book to come out of its extremely long introduction. and i don't even mind the preceding 19 chapters but why are you marketed as a thriller when almost 2/3 of it is closer to just contemporary fiction

saving this in case someone shares a find bc i want to read it so bad. i feel like there's so much to consider in just the tendency to use nominalized verbs with the -er suffix that greatly condense information (e.g. "job haver", "film enjoyers")

it gets difficult to accept that you have a benign, welcoming attitude to migration, when through people telling you there are rules, regulations, and brutal enforcement and years and years and YEARS of precedent and statistics you keep insisting you don't think there's a plan and there needs be one
