Necromancy is a major tool of the Grekaan organization. One way they coerce people into obeying them is to kill them, then reanimate them, then threaten to cancel the enchantment if the person doesn't do as they say.

How does Alstair feel about being trans? How is it treated in his society? What does Bast's acceptance of it mean to him?
And we should finally start using the metric system while we're at it.

Grinks & Co.
The four MCs meet for the first time, after they all fight off a big monster together. Taraltos can't help but notice Laylee's strength, and her ass. Laylee is more than okay with this.

“Great tactics!” the faun added brightly. She wasn’t much shorter than Davik, with an athletic body and a beautiful face beneath her short antlers; her ears were long and deer-like, her flat nose was rimmed with black, and she wore only a loincloth and simple breast bindings suitable for movement. Her sleek, furred legs reminded Taraltos of the remarkable agility and strength she’d shown - attested by her curvaceous, human-like backside.

16. Do ghosts exist in your world?
In Seff's world, there are demons, the undead, curses, and so much more; even though I haven't written them, it's a very safe bet that ghosts exist, too. This kind of stuff isn't an everyday occurrence, but I doubt anyone would be surprised to see a ghost.

In Grinks & Co., the MCs seek out a huge stash of valuable gems in an ancient temple, mostly because they know the duke is looking for them to fund his military conquests.
To get them, the male MCs have to "kneel in worship" of the female MCs.

Seff is getting worse at taking orders. She's become more willful and independent in her adventure, and it's leading to a reckoning with Drohim.
In Prophecies, All the MCs resent being told what to do, except Jorang; he's a team player.

How is your character at taking orders?

Do they prefer that someone else make the decisions? Are they a rebel? Do they avoid the whole situation whenever possible? Would they rather be giving the orders?

Good on you for making the best of an aggravating situation.
I love the subtle menace in his face, and how the background accentuates it. "You have managed to moderately annoy Batman. You are now in deep shit."
Seff isn't so far from her humble origins that she's forgotten the real reason behind most crime.

I kind of got the feeling that he was talking out loud because he wanted me to think about it, too. “If I may, Blade Volentus?” I asked, handing Drohim his cleaned-up dagger.
	“You may, squire.”
“Maybe this wizard isn’t usually a criminal. They might have been threatened into it, or they might have just been desperate.” I’d certainly had to talk myself out of stealing for my family more than enough times, and just might have failed to talk myself out of it once or twice.
Our own needs are so often scarier than external threats.

I think a lot of porn doesn’t get credit for how pretty and emotive it is. I’ll always find it kinda wild how one of the biggest, most powerful drives of the human psyche is treated similarly to shitting ones pants

Seff just changed the bandages on her cursed, necrotizing wounds. Probably best to get rid of them, but it won't be pleasant.

#WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts #writingprompt
I carefully lowered the bandages into the fire, and they went from smelling bad to smelling horrible. It occurred to me to worry that the Trokaan or whoever might have tracking dogs or something, but then I figured that dogs probably wouldn’t know what burning necro-bandages smelled like, and I eased up a little.
I would love to smell that book.
Stephen King said that no author is ever really done with a story; every time we read our own work, we'll want to make little changes. That's certainly the case for me.

I think kids often don't understand why adults are afraid, so they're able to laugh off the momentary stress. (Laughter is one way humans shake off fear when they realize they're safe.)
I would also bet that kids feel empowered by not being afraid of something that adults fear.
Q6: Some food for thought before self-promo. I've seen that when certain fictions scare adults, kids are delighted. Like Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls or jolts during car rides. Why do you think that is? #WriteStuff

One of the scariest things to people is loss of control. I would write about people who lost the ability to control their own actions or violent impulses, and hurt others and themselves while their rational brain hopelessly fought to stop.
Q5: Suppose you could scare a reader with your next work. If you had to make something up, an impossible fear in real life, what would you choose? #WriteStuff
#writestuff
I just can't take the idea of ghosts seriously. This skeptic's brain of mine has made me immune to being afraid of dead people in any way.
Q4: How about monsters and frights that scare others but have no effect on you? Do you have a favorite that cannot give you nightmares? #Writestuff

I've written a few short stories that people said were scary, and one that made a friend say, "This is disturbing, even for you."
Q3: Have you ever written a story or other media that scared people? That didn't just make them look at you funny and ask questions? #WriteStuff

That fear of mirrors came from the game of saying a ghost's name into mirrors, and especially the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark claim that the ghost might try to break the mirror from inside and attack you. The illustrations from the same book added to the fear.
Q2: Has there ever been a work of fiction or a character that has absolutely scared you? Something that cannot exist in real life, thankfully?

It's been a while, but I used to have a real problem with seeing mirrors in dark rooms. The looming, unclear image right in front of me creeped me out well into adulthood.
Q1: What scares you and that isn’t a rational fear like the news, environmental destruction, systematic hate, and preventable diseases not disappearing? #writestuff
Congratulations! That's terrific!
