Heya! Hex speaking. A cool technique I use a -lot- in Phobolis is the oldschool yet very effective blending strip/skirt trick to 'glue' meshes together, so much so that I've been developing a custom set of geometry node tools in Blender to achieve this with much less manual effort.

dragons dogma be great with this due to using a job system. the amount of customization you can give to yourself with a personalized moveset has you approach the game from an active combat perspective rather than 'need to hit blue guy with blue sword in blue stance'.
