One of my favorite things about Bluesky (or at least my little corner of it) is that people are always sharing resources for taking action.

So here's a pinned thread collecting those resources, some made by me and some made by others.

I was lucky to get my preorder of Read This When Things Fall Apart, edited by @mskellymhayes.bsky.social, early - thanks, @portersqbooks.bsky.social! - and it's exactly as incredible as I had expected.

I highly, highly recommend it to anyone struggling with *gestures broadly at everything.*
A hand holds the book Read This When Things Fall Apart: Letters to Activists in Crisis by Kelly Hayes. The cover is dark blue and has an illustration of a person swimming in a lake at night beneath a full moon. In the background, behind the book, are shelves of books in a bookstore.

A digital drawing of a frog standing on a bright red background. The frog is holding a sign that says “ICE out of Portland”. The frog looks mad.

One of my fave signs today at the kaiser strike line at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital today. It's heavy with several picket sticks holding it up. "We are Kaiser OFNHP 5017 Fighting for the Care Our Patients Deserve" it's not knitted! They said it was knotted on a special loom! #Nurses #Strike #yarn
Photo of a person holding up a large sign that looks knitted but it is actually knotted with help of a loom. It is a red sign with white words reading "We are Kaiser OFNHP 5017 Fighting for the Care Our Patients Deserve." The person is seated in a wheelchair. There is part of a crowd visible behind the seated person, and picket signs scattered here and there.

I'm so grateful for all the writer-organizers who poured their hearts into this book, whose words illuminate paths through the horrific, overwhelming times in which we're living.
