And so she suppresses her magic until the point in the story where she meets the protagonist and with the help of other magic users learns to control her magic by using it rather than by suppressing it
And tbh her story can be read as allegory for both queer and ND folk

For me it just depends on the character and if being an allegory fits for them
For example in my hidden magic normal humans world ive got a genetically magic character who's ancestors hid themselves so well during the salem wts that their parents dont know they have magic and are crazy evangelicals

If it helps my fantasy stuff uses magic as an allegory for being queer failry often even when not all the characters who use magic are queer

Sometimes I really think2019 was thw last normal year of our lives and ever since, it feels like like we‘ve slipped into some alternate reality where nothing males swnsw, everyone is on the esge, time moves too fast yet too slow, and the worls we knew just doesn‘t ecist anymore.
