#Socialmedia trivializes reality. That negative result is the point of the medium. I use #bluesky as an open journal. I post for myself. You're free to read, react/interact with it but I don't believe or expect what I have to say here will matter to anyone but me, nor effect lasting positive change.

@schumer.senate.gov couldn't bring himself to vote for the DEMOCRAT. He can vote for whoever he likes but as a de facto leader of the party what an absolute disgrace. Mamdani wasn't my #1 but I held my nose and voted for him anyway. Schumer has NO EXCUSE. He needs to retire NOW.

He died because he couldn't live without my mom. And he thought it was his reliance on her that killed her and that thought killed him. But the real reason she died is MAGA and the same for my dad. I really hope that if there is something comes after death it is a dose of fucking reality for them.

My parents had been driven mad without even realizing it. They were conditioned into a madness that had them so stressed and out of their minds. My mom died on the bathroom floor 2 days after that text. Don't tell me the stress of MAGA life had nothing to do with it. My dad died 2 months later.

Nevermind that there was no reason at all to even conceive that I had been killed. But this is what Fox News, the Catholic Church and Trump did to my parents. Made them so paranoid, so petrified, so angry and so self-centered that anything bad that happens in the world happens to them personally.

I do believe Fox News killed my parents. I do think that the Catholic Church killed my parents. I am certain that Trump killed my parents. The last interaction I had with my mom was her texting and calling at the urgent urging of my father to make sure I wasn't shot in the NFL NYC offices.

It is baffling how faithful MAGA people are when they are consistently, repeatedly hosed. Whatever the hold Trump has on them it is a psychological vulnerability exploited. My recently deceased parents went full MAGA and I hold them accountable for their choices but I also believe they are victims.

We can all do better. I'm on bluesky after all and I shouldn't be. It's all bad for us. But it IS as simple as deactivate. Get creative. Get ingenius. Those 3bn people are compromised. Reach them some alternative way and perhaps get a different, better result. Best of luck with your campaign.

This statement is depressing. I feel sad for her bc I get where she is coming from. Been there. It sounds rational but it isn't. Now having removed myself from the platforms I know it is addiction speaking, not her. All I can say is I was shocked how quickly I forgot about fb/insta once deactivated.

What I don't understand about the handwringing over Mamdani is that it's not coming from progressives. I am voting for Mamdani bc there is no better option but we can do better. Mamdani's clear support of the patriarchy makes me sick and I'll be holding my nose at the ballot box tomorrow.
