This week, I resigned from my position as Director of IT/Tech at an org I truly believed in. I wanted us to stop using Generative AI and was told no.

Yes, you should be surprised and horrified by secret federal police running around our city kidnapping immigrants, crashing cars, launching chemical weapons and shooting and killing people. This is a thing you should be *perpetually* shocked by. We lose when we become numb to it.

One way to tell the story of the internet is anever ending story of the fringes slowly moving to the mainstream. There are so many examples and X embodies just about all of them.

Go to the fringes right now and you will not like what you see but there are far too high odds it will be everywhere

People don't realize the Mariana Trench-deep uncanny valley that this can produce.

The internet may have been a mistake. Humans aren't meant to see so many new, scary/horrible/amazing/novel things. Each new layer pushes us further. 2005 internet couldn't handle 2025 internet

They've done so many things to show that ICE agents aren't actually in danger. Whether its this guy going on raids, Noem being at raids, or full camera crews following them.

So many things this administration does reminds me of this lyric from Eminem's song I'm Back, off his masterpiece The Marshall Mathers LP.

That is a really upsetting thought but it keeps happening, more and more often.

I would expect edits in the OP or some of the responses to state, "They are making updates related to mental health" but they don't. This feels like changing the reason for removing personality removed to be about something that wasn't as big of a story when 5.0 was debut, let alone when built.

Right, the Personality. But did Altman say they removed the personality to safeguard mental health? The largest change was that instead of picking with model you used, 5.0 would per-determine if you query needed the high or low end model.
