This is MAGA’s new favourite conspiracy theory (totally disproved not that facts matter) - that FBI agents in the crowd staged the Jan 6 violence to frame KIng Tango’s peaceful supporters.

Expect arrests on invented charges to follow

A few days ago, I wrote up a piece on Republicans routinely forgetting when Biden took office and how the problem seems to be getting worse: tinyurl.com/3bdxp3te

I suddenly wish I’d held off a few more days. (The “Biden FBI” didn’t exist on Jan. 6. Trump was president at the time.)

Purple Rose of Cairo I did love. Mia Fallow perfect in it. Hard to watch any of her collaborations with him now. Cate Blanchett great in Blue Jasmine. Prime has so many WA movies, went through a phase of watching the bad ones. When he is bad he is SO bad (the larry david one, the Chamolet one..:etc)

Wasn’t familiar with Scotland’s draconian Martin Compston twerking laws. Did know Cha Cha Cha’ing in front of Billy Connelly carries up to a 6month jail sentence

A manager at Historic Environment Scotland was sanctioned after allegedly 'twerking' in front of Hollywood actor Martin Compston, according to reports

Gail’s a brilliant artist. She only uses materials of the highest quality. One of the finest retro artists around IMHO. She’s ably assisted by Pete, her wonderful handsome cat. If you ask nicely, Pete will send you a thank you note for your order. Great way to support an independent artist.

You think ‘impossible to sum up the joy of someone in a single image.’ then you see this.

Diane Keaton in her Manhattan apartment with Buster, an Abyssinian, photographed by Jill Krementz in 1977
black & white photograph of young Diane Keaton smiling and standing next to a white refrigerator in a barren-looking kitchen. her cat Buster is crouched on top of the fridge playing with/swatting her hair in the upper right hand corner. she's wearing a long skinny white scarf with a dot-grid pattern, a high-neck white blouse with an ascot/kerchief around the neck, and a black blazer/skirt or blazer dress over what looks like a vest

And there came over the land of Krusti Noem a plague of frogs & the Lord looked down upon his work & said it was bloody hilarious

Blessed are the frogs, for they keep making authoritarians look incredibly stupid
Three persons in inflatable frog costumes. One of them is holding a nicely painted sign with two little cartoon frogs holding hands, below the text "FROGS TOGETHER STRONG"

No. As it’s a classy prize to do so would be seen as a reason why you shouldn’t receive it

Trump really does think ANTIFA has a secret headquarters in a warehouse downtown that has a ‘SECRET ANTIFA HQ’ flashing neon sign over the entrance like in ‘Police Squad’

What an odd one to pick out, you should do a sentimental 5min on ‘the good old days’ to freak the crowd out

Such a well deserved winner… and some glorious shade in the direction of wannabe autocrats & dismantlers of democracy whoever they might be 👌

⚡️The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to Maria Corina Machado.

The Nobel Peace Prize committee awarded it for "her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela."

Refreshingly unsentimental??? Are the others on the bill too sentimental?

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.
