the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

i actually went to get it repaired because i went and got the FXPak. i probably need to give it another look but when i did run it, it just gave me weird tiles like so. i couldn’t manage my way into any roms i had on it but even then i’m not sure i’d be able to see them lol

will test again though

i thought so too, but i figure if the CPU was bugged that games would play differently, which they don’t. i had just gone back and forth with my shop and didn’t want to keep guessing on parts to replace, just for them to not do anything

maybe i’ll go back for the PPU2

thought it was the PPU1 or VRAM, both were replaced and it was neither.
i figure the game drawing numbers at the top should be a giveaway but i don’t know what for.

i know you’re not tech support or anything, this is just a shot in the dark from me.

got this SNES a few years ago, worked fine when i got it, sat in a cabinet for a while. took it out a few months ago and it started displaying like this.
any idea what it could be?
