There's a lot I love about #voiceover, but one of the underrated fun things I do as a #voiceactor is producing custom audio clips for use in a client's #ttrpg sessions. As a long-time TTRPG gamer myself, helping to bring a GM's unique world and characters to life for their players is always a treat!

Funny how that works, right? My dad used to say the brain is like an onion -- the outer layers with things like your grocery lists and meeting schedules are the least reliable, while the ones at the core with all that "helpful" childhood information stick around the longest. maybe he was right...! 😅

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
