Finished rewatching Bills-Falcons. Best Falcons defensive performance ever in my nine years of watching film. The pressure plan to make Allen uncomfortable and not allow him to find any rhythm was terrific. Ulbrich's vision was centered around bringing relentless pressure. It was executed.

I love how the Falcons used Bijan as a threat in the play action game vs Buffalo. Woerner in the backfield helps to shore up pass pro and Penix Jr finds London in the void

Look at Drake London pin this LB inside on this Bijan run! Matthew Bergeron getting out on the move too!

Michael Penix ripping it downfield to Drake London on a Dagger concept in the first window. Awesome pass pro.

Bijan is crazy good, but Wilkinson, Neuzil, and Washington all threw play-making blocks, too. Your fill-in right tackle, relatively unproven center, and fill-in second receiver being able to deliver like that is a big, big deal

Awesome angle of the Bijan Robinson TD

Finally, despite the aggravating number of false starts and delays of game early on, Atlanta is actually the least penalized team on offense leaguewide and among the least penalized teams overall

Falcons VP of Football Communications David Bassity noted that Atlanta has held teams under 300 yards for five straight games for the first time since 1998.

It's also the first time they've done so in five straight games to start the season since 1991
thefalcoholic.bsky.social
This is the fourth time the Falcons have pulled together a two game or greater winning streak in 22 games under Raheem Morris.

For perspective's sake, they had only managed that five times in 67 games from 2020-2023

London and Bijan are also the only duo in NFL history to get 170+ rushing yards and 150+ receiving yards in the same game twice.
thefalcoholic.bsky.social
Those 158 receiving yards were Drake London's third-highest total ever, and his only 150-plus receiving yard game not against an NFC South opponent.

London also passed Calvin Ridley and Stacey Bailey for all-time receiving yardage and is 13th now, just behind Michael Jenkins

Victory Tuesday! Here's your grab bag.

Bijan Robinson just matched his career high with 170 rushing yards. He now has the 13th best single game rushing totals for the franchise; he's also less than 500 yards away from passing Dave Hampton for 8th all time in total rushing yards

Much appreciated! Tough stretch for your guys but I know they'll bounce back, good luck the rest of the way

Bills giving up 4.2 YAC on runs coming into the night, same exact average that Bijan had on yards after contact coming into MNF.

What happened tonight was the team that makes everyone look like Bijan...played Bijan.

If you have a confident Top 5 in the NFL right now…..no you don’t.

And I LOVE that for the league at this place in time.

The last time the Bills scored 14 or fewer points before tonight was Week 4 of 2024 against the Ravens

As the great @thefalcoholic.bsky.social posted 10 years ago, “Being a #Falcons fan is like riding a roller coaster with a terrible safety record”.

The #Falcons are now 14-3 when wearing the red helmets since 2009.

Enough is enough.
Make. Them. Permanent.

I quite like the Bills and Allen and their fans but DAMN it feels good to beat someone up in primetime wearing the ‘66s
thefalcoholic.bsky.social
It's difficult to summon the right words for this. It's just a regular season win, but it's a great team win, a great defensive effort, and dispatching a really good Bills team in primetime.

That feels pretty damn great, and I'm glad I could enjoy it with all of you

Nate Ollie might be an actual sorcerer

Atlanta finishes the game with a 44% pressure rate on Josh Allen.

That's his highest pressure rate of the season, and the only game in which he's faced pressure more than 30% of the time.
thefalcoholic.bsky.social
The Falcons made mistakes. They got our heart rates up. They put together a bit of a nightmare third quarter...and won by 10 points against a talented Bills squad.

There's something cooking here
