🔵 SSDI decisions are based on whether your symptoms substantially interfere w activities of daily living

⚫️ In 2023, ore than 30,000 people died waiting for approval of their claims
⚫️ More than 1.2 million Americans are waiting for an “initial” decision on their disability claim
⚫️ Many of the 1.2 million have been waiting for more than a year.

Every time I see stuff like this, I think of former Sen. Synema not being willing to support the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, bc "the filibuster is a hallmark of democracy." Some hallmark--GOP got rid of much of it, & it wasn't mentioned in the Constitution. Smh.

I know I fight for healthcare and Social Security through awareness and engagement with your Congresspersons, but I also try to give YOU hope.

We must always have hope. I suffer a lot from my chronic illness & disabilities, but I'd suffer more if I didn't try. Our voices are needed. NEVER GIVE UP.🙏

If we net +1 more House seat than GOP, certain things can be stopped, slowed down, & changed. No “both sides”ism. How ab we give the GOP thoughts & prayers they can win in fair elections? They can’t (hence Texas).

We’e supposed to “meet people where they’re at & the #Diaability community typically can’t mobilize in the same ways as our able counterparts. The Capitol Crawl was the longest peaceful protest in US history, but people died, so others wouldn’t. It’s so important to organize & have a voice. 💜
