If you're a beginner artist, what you really want is that feeling of excitement to keep you going. For a lot of artists, studying anatomy is not that. Observational drawing solved it for me. I just drew hundreds of pictures of pretty people, learning landmarks and proportions as I went along. 1/2

If I have to listen to another white guy on Youchube tell me that I'll never draw good if I don't know the name and placement of every bone and muscle and what shape every sphincter in the body is I'm going to go insane

U can learn to draw a body by just like. looking at it. Observational drawing.

I love that about bluesky (and years ago twitter). Because it is so real. People are scientists or artists or just human beings and have interests like Bands or niche movies or string puppets or something completely different and at the same time politics concern them and they speak about that etc.
