TBH if u want a good scifi fascism metaphor, esp for younger readers, When The Tripods Came by John Christopher is a fantastic one. Don’t need later trilogy, stands on its own.

At my end of high school group exhibit i watched someone cry at my work. It was mesmerising, humbling and confusing. Others have told me they to cry
Last week i cried when i saw an artwork and thought oh shit my work makes others feel that way about MY work
