I'm an educational #psychologist who is also an artist! I examine education through Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory.

WM is a war drama set in WW2 Nazi-occupied Greece. Fotis and his friends struggle to survive the famine of Athens when they suddenly are thrust into protecting a microfilm that could make or break that most important stand the fledgling Greek Resistance is about to make.

Verdant is a dark fantasy and political drama/adventure. Etan, a kome (knight) of the Despotate, genuinely believes that witches are the enemy, heretics that are insolent to the gods and threaten nature and the world with annihilation. When he realizes that is not the case, he suddenly has to protect himself and others from those forces that are the real threat.

The problem with left-leaning media is they're intrinsically more strict with their propaganda to only using verifiable sources so it's really hard to poke holes in their ideology and arguments in comparison to a lot of low quality rightwing content.
That makes attacking their points with fact checkers not very effective unless the fact checkers use misinformation tactics as well.
In essence people on the right have to work harder and more creatively to push their agendas as statistics and studies frustratingly arent usually on our side.

When I was at around chapter 2 of Without Moonlight, I received an onslaught of negative (and malicious) reviews that basically told me I made ugly comics. I almost stopped making them. I didn't. I'm glad I didn't. You can't please everyone with your work. And that's ok. It's because it's art.

I think it's worse than this. I think they do tell him 'you did terribly' and couple that 'we'll cover for you and protect you if you do as we say' and thus rule as his puppet masters.

You know who takes a cognitive test? People whose family members suspect their loved one is suffering from dementia. If he kept getting “perfect” scores…they wouldn’t keep administering them. My take? He blew the first one he ever took. Now, they’re tracking the decline. I’d bet my hot coffee on it.
