When I said we weren't here to be disappointed in Labour but to replace them. I meant it.

The difference between a Cocker and a Lab. They both stopped off for a drink out of the spring, and of course, Casper had to go in. And Molly had to check if the leaves were tasty

Perhaps they’re a lot less painful because you’re using the stick and stopping using the stick will lead to the pain worsening again?

Interesting events on the Norwegian/Swedish border, where the Hagland Captain is still stuck next to the Svinesund Bridge having failed to successfully identify the wet bit that runs underneath it.
Photo of the unfortunate vessel, suspiciously close to the shore and even more suspiciously not moving...

Excuse me but, what the f*** is the point of targets to build homes that only the wealthy can afford? How does it help anyone who is not a property developer? And why does Labour care more about property developers than families? liveapp.inews.co.uk/category/398...
Leaked memo reveals Labour plan to slash affordable homes target
A requirement for developers to build affordable housing in London is set to be cut from 35% of new homes to 20%, in a move councils fear will spread across Britain

I think we can call this the @zackpolanski.bsky.social effect.

Labour would not be saying this without a credible threat from the left. I doubt their policy will amount to more than a hill of beans but you can see how the Green surge is already having an effect.

This rocked up in the replies and remember that this was *water* that did this. Regardless of how well you know the physics, the pressures down there remain beyond imagination.

One of the more interesting images from the NTSB report on the Titan submersible implosion.

Imagine you work in data recovery. You've got data off devices dropped from heights, driven over, immersed in water, lightly incinerated... then someone from NTSB rocks up and leaves this with you...
Image of "a large electronic and metallic mass" taken from the NTSB report on the hull failure and implosion of the submersible Titan. The description reads:

"The NTSB laboratory received a large electronic and metallic mass from the United States Coast Guard on November 13, 2023. The NTSB was working on behalf of the USCG. The mass was transported in plastic storage container. The mass weighed approximately 100 lbs. The mass was a compilation of compressed metal, compressed plastic, compressed electronic components and compressed other materials. The mass exhibited signs of thermal damage without typical signatures of having been exposed to open flame. A section of the mass contained polar fleece material."

Although to purely blame the engineering, as the headline does, is to ignore every other idiocy in this concatenation of calamity.

"Titan submersible imploded due to poor engineering, say US officials."

Also experts, amateurs, people consigned to asylums for congenital lunacy, people who've never heard of submersibles before, a tortoise called Alan and literally anyone else hearing the vaguest description of it.
BBC headline - Titan submersible inked sure to poor engineering, say US officials - above an image of the submersible in happier times, eg when it hadn't yet imploded and turned its occupants into a seawater-flavoured paste.

Other news media (typically NOT mainstream UK news media, which is captured by the very billionaire media moguls funding the ADF) have traced millions in US dark money backing anti-gender campaigns in Europe and the UK.

Emily Maitlis, Hannah Barnes and other prominent 'oh so neutral' journalists were part of the same newsroom culture that treated trans lives as a controversy.

They legitimised “gender critical” ideology that overlaps directly with US Christian-right talking points.

For years, outlets like Newsnight gave transphobes uncritical platforms, turning prejudice into “debate”

Those same journalists now act shocked the ADF is talking to Nigel Farage.

They, and their 'gender critical' transphobic mates were the entry point normalising restriction on bodily autonomy.
