Might be time to issue my yearly reminder of a possibly more useful test than the Bechel test:

1. Is your book/TV show etc. set in space?
2. Does it have pirates?
3. Are a goodly percentage of them queer?

This is one of a pair of owls that were admitted to the clinic, both for Papapara treatment (aka the "birdcatcher" tree). According to BCA, "after carefully removing all of the seed pods, our dedicated team has been working tirelessly to restore their feathers to their former glory—a delicate process that takes time and patience.
This includes specialised baths designed to help restore the waterproofing properties of their feathers—an essential step for any bird returning to the wild. It won’t be long now until this duo is ready to soar free once again."
