The Jays and Dodgers will break for Christmas Eve to share a drink in no man’s land, show each other photos of the family they left back home, before heading back to their respective trenches.

I think the lesson here is if they’d ‘started’ the game walking Ohtani 4 times, they’d have won by now.
Some might suggest that having the lowest taxes in the country and depending on oil and gas revenue to balance the budget is irresponsible. Something that's been pointed out by many people
For every extra innng in baseball. They should move the outfield wall in 10 ft
I'm surprised that the Dodgers don't use otani as a position player and bring him in to pitch to the occasional batter
Perhaps the Dodgers can bring in. Mitch Williams

Where's the premier while MLAs rush through an all-night debate on stripping Albertans of their Charter rights?

An airport lounge, waiting for a flight to Saudi Arabia. She didn't even bother to show up for the vote.

I remember when conservatives turfed premiers for this level of hubris.
Unfortunately, it's probably going to be about an 8.3 billion deficit this year. That's giving the government an excuse to not spend more on education.

What's the hurry?

In just 6 years, the UCP has been responsible for nearly half of all time allocation motions in Alberta history.

They're promising to do it again today, this time ramming through a bill that removes Charter rights in a matter of hours.
sounds like a long afternoon of drinking...
in my list of top 10 albums. vastly underrated
On this day in 1973, The Who released ‘Quadrophenia’ — a thunderous rock opera about mods, identity, and rebellion. Pete Townshend’s masterpiece turned teenage confusion into one of rock’s most powerful anthems of self-discovery.

reading slaughterhouse 5 for the first time and i was absolutely knocked senseless by this passage, which is so true and relevant that it feels like it was pulled from a history book
Actually, I am okay with the Green Bay uniforms but the Pittsburgh ones are butt ugly
note that per-capita expenditures are higher for the have-not provs and are lower (and not much different) for the largest/richest provs: ON, AB, BC and even QC

so, yes, AB has a large imbalance and "subsidizes" other provs but it's not as large as some would have us believe and it's not alone
imbalances are mainly due to how rich (poor) provinces are; this is reflected in the per-capita revenue that they contribute to Ottawa

money flowing from Ottawa to the provs comes in the form of transfers (health, social, equalization) and what the feds spend in each prov
for all those people who complain about AB's imbalance with Ottawa (i.e. federal taxes paid versus transfers to and federal spending in AB)... yes, it's large, but for most years, ON's imbalance has been higher

i've had it with these convidiots saying that it was a peaceful protest, that Lich and Barber did no wrong and are being persecuted

and their lawyer thinks that the Emergencies Act and War Measures Act are comparable
