It’s 2 weeks today that British Summer Time becomes Greenwich Mean Time again as the clocks fall back 1 hour at 2am on the 26th of October.

Sunrise on the 26th will be at 6.48am and the sun will set in the county at 4.45pm.

Shared use path at Draycote resevoir was too busy and tthe Mallard were kicking off too. Egret minding its own biz though. I took the footpath loop back to Thurlaston and found Hen of the Woods. Reputed to be very tasty and good for health. @britmycolsoc.org.uk

The Speckled Wood is unique in its ability to spend the winter as either a chrysalis or a caterpillar 🐛💤

#AshlawncuttingLNR work party today. Hedge trimming,path edge cut and raked off and the last section of grassy bank cut leaving plenty uncut of everything for shelter and overwintering life stages,seed etc.
