Younger, when this realm felt brighter
When I was cheerful, playing the piano
Memories of sessions with my grandpa
Those days are long gone now though
All eventually replaced by a reality built on acts of malice.

This isn’t a world painted
by watercolour strokes.
Each choice cuts permanent;
a line we cannot erase.
Do we let it fall to darkness,
or will we walk in Light?
