Mr Lyle says he can scratch out any Trump nominee eyes if you give treats.

Also, if his handsomeness makes anyone feel better, please enjoy.

"We're saving God."

Roll that phrase around your head. Consider the theological and cosmological implications.

Eric Trump: "We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window, Benny. You no longer have Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem. You no longer have Budweiser going woke as hell. All of this is dead."

CBS aired a segment by Olivia Reingold—a reporter for the Weiss-founded Free Press—in which NYPD officers are worried about Mamdani, with some “considering retiring.” The evidence? Four unnamed officers quoted out of ~33,000.

The story is thinly sourced, fearmongering, tabloid drek. trib.al/hfqsrL0

Alito, joined by Thomas and Gorsuch, suggest that public schools violate the Constitution when they help a student transition (by acknowledging them as trans) without their parents' knowledge or consent.

Would force schools to out trans kids to their parents. www.supremecourt.gov/orders/court...
SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES
JONATHAN LEE, ET AL. v. POUDRE
SCHOOL DISTRICT R–1
ON PETITION FOR WRIT OF CERTIORARI TO THE UNITED
STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE TENTH CIRCUIT
No. 25–89. Decided October 14, 2025
The petition for a writ of certiorari is denied.
Statement of JUSTICE ALITO, with whom JUSTICE
THOMAS and JUSTICE GORSUCH join, respecting the denial
of certiorari.
I concur in the denial of certiorari because petitioners do
not challenge the ground for the ruling below. But I remain
concerned that some federal courts are “tempt[ed]” to avoid
confronting a “particularly contentious constitutional questio[n]”: whether a school district violates parents’ fundamental rights “when, without parental knowledge or consent, it encourages a student to transition to a new gender
or assists in that process.” Parents Protecting Our Children, UA v. Eau Claire Area School Dist., 604 U. S. ___,
___–___ (2024) (ALITO, J., dissenting from denial of certiorari) (slip op., at 1–2) (citing Troxel v. Granville, 530 U. S.
57, 70 (2000) (plurality opinion)). Petitioners tell us that
nearly 6,000 public schools have policies—as respondent allegedly does—that purposefully interfere with parents’ access to critical information about their children’s genderidentity choices and school personnel’s involvement in and
influence on those choices. Pet. for Cert. 24. The troubling—and tragic—allegations in this case underscore the
“great and growing national importance” of the question
that these parent petitioners present. Parents Protecting
Our Children, 604 U. S., at ___ (slip op., at 1).

I’m seeing pieces and posts today about how useful digital ID could be in navigating bureaucracy etc. Yes. It would. That, however, is *not* how the government tried to sell it to us. Instead, they portrayed it as a tool to stop illegal working and curb illegal immigration. 1/4

I handed a physical copy of my EHRC submission to my MP's office, followed up with an email a month later, complete silence. I guess that confirms their position.
srtristan.bsky.social
Better than the silence from my MP to two queries about the EHRC guidance. Generally I think there is a fear to back trans people existing now. The UK is in a limited-rights spiral.

The Council of Europe has warned that the UK gov’s treatment of trans people may breach human rights law.

This must be a wake up call.

We’ve seen an increase in hostility towards trans in recent years.

Everyone deserves dignity, safety, & respect - that includes trans people.

🏮 He's very concerned about measures which oblige trans people to out themselves publicly and significantly increase their vulnerability to harassment, abuse and even violence

🏮 And he asks for an evidence-based approach. This ought to be common sense but sadly none of this is evidence based.

Quite a bodying, here, for the UK, from the Commissioner for Human Rights, Council of Europe.

🏮 He points out the Supreme Court ignored human rights (which breaches its legal obligations)
🏮 He says, in effect agreeing with Lucy Powell, Parliament should be involved...

For Du Bois, the anti-immigrant violence of the Jim Crow state—which would *accelerate* under the Second Klan & its regime of white nationalist immigration policies—represented an existential threat against targeted groups & the prospect of democracy itself.

We really need to be thinking abt the current regime through the lens of the Second Klan, which helped to nationalize systems of Jim Crow state & vigilante violence & exploitation while creating an explicitly white nationalist immigration system. They even paraded down Pennsylvania Ave.

Some of these are real jobs (though possibly sometimes the respondent has been trying to make them posher?) Others make you suspect the respondent may have been taking the mickey, which is always a risk when polling the British public…
