Serious question: how does one network in this time and age? Social media engagement is at an all time low (Bluesky slightly better than the rest, sometimes). Going to US cons is out of question for me right now, UK cons don’t get as much editorial/publisher presence. It’s been a struggle this year.

The Rock had a Spyhunter movie, it fell through, he jumped on the frog's back that was the Fast and Furious franchise, made them turn it into his failed Spyhunter project, spun it off needlessly and now the final film is in development hell because Vin Diesel is trying to undo the changes Rock made.

It's not the performance thing that people are down on the guy. It's his oppressive need to absorb all control over everything he's in, even when the results are bad.

His way of working is essentially "anti-director" and that's something even Nolan won't be able to get in the way of.

Cardcaptors was a show that was just ahead of the curve in so many ways. The score, the character development, the lore. 4 year old me was very lucky to find it on my TV after school.

It's not as well written as, let's say My Hero Academia (my personal favorite anime) but it comes so very close to being perfect. Tonally, it's more of a dark, angry show like AOT but it has a tiny bit more comedy. It's getting better with every episode. Amazing twists and turns and worldbuilding.
