Yes, she was. He's such an idiot
He does say don't worship false idols. So all the people who go to church or whatever are technically worshipping false idols - the statues and altars, etc, and those of us who never go to church and just live are actually doing what God wanted...
It's the effect Johnson always has on me. I found it very difficult to watch/listen to/read any current affairs when he was PM because it just made me want to smash/rip up the TV/radio/phone/papers
Boris Johnson seems to think he's talking to someone who's a bit thick and will perhaps be fooled by his bullshit. He doesn't seem to realise that the slow, deliberate delivery of the questions by Clair Dobbin KC is to make him look like the fraud he is #CovidInquiry
All those people Trump's demonising, disappearing and deporting, he might need them for this 😄
Is it not in their online archive collections?
The EU have pretty consistently said they'd welcome us back for renegotiation. It'd take us a while to get back up to EU regulations, but it can be done. And they'd probably give us a worse deal this time. But, quite frankly, we deserve it for electing the Conservatives and Labservatives
IT can be a bit shit. I do feel a lot of the time it invades our lives and steals our time. Then, when things like this happen and everything grinds to a halt, it makes me really laugh that people have forgotten how to function without it. It makes it incredibly easy to fuck over whole economies
The AWS outage exposes again that “the cloud” isn’t magic, it’s infrastructure. The issue isn’t a cyberattack, it’s architectural over-reliance on a handful of cloud giants. We centralized the internet and then made our entire lives dependent on it.

All that history just gone because of that twat
The Thin Red Line (1998). Look at this for a cast! Sean Penn, John Travolta, George Clooney, John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, Tim Blake Nelson, Nick Nolte, John C Reilly, Jim Caviezel and Elias Koteas. I always think if Robert De Niro and Al Pacino had a child together Koteas would be it #FilmSky

Fiji makes history!
In a landmark public health achievement, Fiji has been validated by WHO for eliminating trachoma as a public health problem.

✅ Trachoma — a neglected tropical disease (NTD) and the world’s leading infectious cause of blindness — is the first NTD to be eliminated in Fiji.
Starmer was wrong again. No surprise there

The movie of the year has finally arrived! Don’t walk—run to the theaters. Mescal and O’Connor deliver career-defining performances in a film that reminds us why we fell in love with cinema in the first place. Here's my review...

I can't believe he said that to an experienced professional journalist in 2025. No woman should ever vote for that

V late to this (it’s a weekend, family stuff, etc) but..I agree with Ben. Both Katie Lam’s interview about deporting people with legal status (and the way STimes treated it) & the Christian Calgie business are disturbing egs of forgetting that ‘normal on X these days’ is very much not normal
Apropos of nothing, I really do think UK journalists and politicians need some reminding that mass deportation of LEGAL immigrants, particularly those with permanent status, is far more extreme than even Trump's America and would basically place Britain completely on its own among democracies.
