You have drumsticks in both hands and hitting them in rhythm to attack, or holding one down while using the other feels really good.

had some noodles in the fridge and a lot of leftover fermented bean paste from mapo tofu

Good. takes a bit to settle into all the controls for exploring, but the setup works well for controlling the batmobile, and the ludicrous number of button combinations it expects you to do in combat are much easier

plus the rhythm of combat has always felt good on arcade buttons

RE4 REMAKE

OK. the slower pace shooting makes this much more suitable than standard dual analog shooters.

feels overloaded with how frequently you need to switch between all the button functions, but still got the (admittedly easy) S Rank in Mercs after a few sessions

here's the current set of button profiles i'm using for those interested

2-for action games that make frequent use of shoulders
3/4-for anime fighters/games with an emphasis on face button combos
5-for shooters and aim centric games

compared to modern leverless using GP2040CE, this immediately loses flexibility in terms of button mapping functionality and layout

losing the extra thumb buttons immediately makes layouts less intuitive and requires you to compromise for certain games

the overall experience is sort of mixed, in large part to the software really not feeling complete yet, so that's possibly subject to change with updates

they've already announced updates to fix issues with deadzone adjustment, snapback and profile switching

but again, refer to my impressions

of note, the thumb domes are custom analog stick caps that go over a standard sized PS5 style hall effect analog stick

you can replace them with standard aftermarket stick caps, and by doing so make them compatible with different stick toppers, grips etc

this is also a very funny choice to make after I booted up my assassin's creed origins save yesterday, which I put on hard for some reason, causing me to die in two hits if I get spotted
