Strega Nona’s spaghetti lunch was a success! Nona loves and appreciate you all, especially those of you who ate her excess spaghetti. She has asked me to let you know that she is available for children’s spaghetti parties as well as small business spaghetti parties.

i think everyone needs to proclaim whatever nazi tattoos they've got right now, while it's on everyone's minds. even if you're not running for office, let's just get all our cards on the table. i'll start — i'm normal, so i have none. let's have every former & current military member go next

You can *care* about many things and you can only take concrete & sustained action on 1 or 2 things.

That's for you introverts who don't actually want to talk to anyone. Leave the meals at your door, lol.
Do you live in an apartment complex? How about printing out some fliers letting your neighbors know that on a particular day of the week, u will be cooking X extra meals and that anyone who needs one can stop by your place at X hour to pick one up no questions asked? Can even leave them at the door.

In "The Dad Rock That Made Me A Woman," Niko Stratis tells her journey of self-discovery through her love of dad rock. @nicolefroio.bsky.social interviews the author, asking why the genre is so appealing to queer and trans people.
Why Do Queer And Trans People Listen To Dad Rock?
The earnestness of dad rock makes queer and trans people unlikely fans of the genre. Nicole Froio investigates why.

but my fantasy version of a working class person is a business-owning white guy ex-marine not some black trans girl barrista and ill do anything to maintain my belief about who the real working class is even though it's identical to how the far right defines it
Enticing. Alluring. Haunting.
Giving away zine packets that you made with your friends is an act of both love and resistance. Yes, I love you enough to fold 20 identical pieces of paper into eighths. Yes, I love you enough to learn how to stop kidnappings together!
Even if the bootlickers down the way took the packets, maybe their kids caught a glimpse as it hit the trash can and it’s the first spark of realization
Choosing to believe the four antifascist zine packets I left in the little free library were taken by people who will use them, and not by the family a few blocks from me that have a homemade RIP Charlie sign and Trump flag in their yard. Adding more packets either way.
How is this not just an overpriced furby?
Call me crazy, but I don’t think the representation of how much life force has been forcefully extracted from me each year should then fund the imprisonment of other people.

what will remain of the U.S. public sector is prison guards, ICE violence workers, soldiers and cops.
I just spent several minutes figuring out who the Nazi is and I had also not heard of him. But it seems like the signs were there for anyone willing to see
I am not at all in a place where I could raise animals, but maybe someday
That would be fun! I love sharing my excess plants and fruits/vegs
I wish I was lucky enough to have a neighbor with egg-laying animals. But I do have an egg guy who delivers eggs to the free fridge and I can pick up from there. I’m always trying to give vegetables to my neighbors but they don’t want them?!
Buy Nothing groups will also sometimes do food trains for members. Food trains are a good idea in general
It simultaneously never feels like enough and must be enough!
I took some spare food to an acquaintance tonight and I just wish I could do more, for more people. I’m always trying to think of ways to scale my own impact but I keep coming back to the fact that every one of us needs to make about a hundred tiny changes.
It’s getting real hard for people to afford groceries, food pantries are seeing more use with less resources, and SNAP benefits for Nov have been suspended.

Get in the habit of sharing with your friends and your neighbors. “Accidentally” make extra servings of dinner. Every small act counts
Paul cutting their hair into a rat tail would do psychic damage to me
I currently have two guiding principles for every day, something that I use to realign myself when I’m feeling hopeless or helpless. I think “experience small but not harmful adversity” might become the third
