Do you live in an apartment complex? How about printing out some fliers letting your neighbors know that on a particular day of the week, u will be cooking X extra meals and that anyone who needs one can stop by your place at X hour to pick one up no questions asked? Can even leave them at the door.

Choosing to believe the four antifascist zine packets I left in the little free library were taken by people who will use them, and not by the family a few blocks from me that have a homemade RIP Charlie sign and Trump flag in their yard. Adding more packets either way.

I wish I was lucky enough to have a neighbor with egg-laying animals. But I do have an egg guy who delivers eggs to the free fridge and I can pick up from there. I’m always trying to give vegetables to my neighbors but they don’t want them?!

I took some spare food to an acquaintance tonight and I just wish I could do more, for more people. I’m always trying to think of ways to scale my own impact but I keep coming back to the fact that every one of us needs to make about a hundred tiny changes.

It’s getting real hard for people to afford groceries, food pantries are seeing more use with less resources, and SNAP benefits for Nov have been suspended.

Get in the habit of sharing with your friends and your neighbors. “Accidentally” make extra servings of dinner. Every small act counts
