Honest to God, sometimes the stupid things these people say make me want to take over their messaging. I think they're evil and wrong about everything, but the unforced communication errors are absurd and offensive not just morally, but logically.

Worth it. Sometimes JJ is intentionally off-putting or confusing, but that's part of the adventure of trying to do something different with the novel form and the English language, and I'm here for that ride. YMMV. You could say similar things about Gravity's Rainbow and I noped out hard on that one

Oh shit no. He was certainly this century's soul visionary. I remember the first time I heard "Untitled (How Does It Feel)" and nearly had to pull over the car. Black Messiah is def God Tier. He should have had the opportunity to make a lot more music. 😪

Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
